Mrs. Gill requires all of her students to have their instrument pre-approved before their lessons begin. This is to ensure that you or your student is playing on an appropriately sized instrument and is an instrument that is setup properly. If the instrument is not the correct size, or is too difficult to play it is very easy for the student to get injured. We wish to avoid this if at all possible.

If you are a beginner, Mrs. Gill is happy to find a time to go with you to a local violin shop and help you pick out an instrument of the appropriate size. Once you have been sized properly, you’ll be free to rent or purchase an instrument from the shop, or do an online rental or purchase of approved outfits from Sharmusic.com.

If you are a transfer, Mrs. Gill is happy to meet you either at All Saints Episcopal Church or at your home to make sure the violin is an appropriate size and is setup properly.
